From Our Administrators...

Dear Forest Ridge Families,

It’s been a great week here at school! We loved seeing so many smiling faces and positive energy all around the building. It was a lot of fun seeing so many people wearing tie dye on Wednesday!

One of the highlights was watching our amazing Super Squads cheerleaders perform at this week’s high school lacrosse game—what a proud moment for our school! A huge thank you to their dedicated coaches, Mrs. May and Ms. Durkin, for all the time and heart they put into supporting our students.

This morning, our bus riders did a fantastic job during our bus evacuation drill. Safety is always a top priority, and we’re proud of how seriously our students took this important practice.

A quick friendly reminder: if you need to pick your child up for early dismissal, please be sure to do so by 2:45 PM. After that time, the office gets very busy, and there are a lot of transitions happening throughout the building. It’s tough to manage early dismissals smoothly after that point—thanks so much for understanding!

Don’t forget—the PTA Carnival is tomorrow, rain or shine! We can’t wait to see everyone there for some fun and celebration.

And finally, next week is PTA Teacher Appreciation Week. Our incredible staff deserves all the thanks and recognition for their hard work and love they give the children. If you get a moment, we encourage you to send a quick note or kind word to one of our amazing educators—it really means a lot.

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!

Warmly,

Mrs. Lannon and Ms. Pazornik

Battle of the Books
HUGE congrats should go out to anyone who sees any of our Battle of the Books 5th graders. The participants were:

The Rambunctious Racoons
Elijah D, Ben N, Sam R, Aaron N, Eliezar

The Cosmic Readers (only 1 answer away from a silver medal)
Wedad, Lucy D, Malkia, and Ahana

The Smarties
Evan S, Finn C., Nick R, Jack H, and Mikel W.

The Novel Noodles (Took a Silver Medal!)
Elliot, Andre G, Inara, and Chloe E

FRES Five
Mahlet, Msgana, Temi, and Aidyn

They spent hours at optional lunch bunches (and one voluntary recess) with me over the past 2 months to make sure they were prepared AND had so much fun doing it! They worked well with their teams and they were dedicated team members together on their own time outside of school to get their posters made, costumes ready, and, most importantly, made sure they were reading their 9 books as part of their teams!
