From the FRES STEAM Committee
Thanks to the FRES families who attended our annual STEAM Night!  The projects and work displayed showed the great effort and dedication of both our students and staff, who all deserve huge kudos and thank you! Thanks, also, to the PTA for supporting the STEM projects displayed in the cafeteria, and to the GT team for the enrichment they provide to our students here at FRES.

Field Day is coming on May 23!  We would greatly appreciate your help. We need many volunteers to make this event a success.  Please click this link to sign up.

Help for FRES Families in Need
We are starting a community support group at school, called Feathers for Families! Here are ways you can help ALL YEAR ‘ROUND:

  • Donate non-perishable food and toiletries (boxed and labeled “Feathers for Families”)
  • Donate clothing or shoes (bagged or boxed, labeled “Feathers for Families”)
  • Donate small toy/game/fun items for kids
  • Donate monetary amounts (listed above)

Time to order your yearbook! Deadline to order - May 22nd
It's time to order yearbooks. You can order them online through May 22nd. The deadline will not be extended, so order now at: https://shop.yearbookmarket.com/forestridge

Price - They cost $23.32 ($22 plus $1.32 in state tax). An ordering fee is charged at checkout. There is no shipping charge because the books will be delivered to the school and distributed to students.

Register ASAP to attend “Ready, Tech, Go! Make Your Summer!” at FRES on Wednesday, May 24th from 6:30 - 8:00 pm!

Everyone gets free dinner, free summer activity gift packs, and the opportunity to win raffle prizes including a week of music camp at Bach to Rock ($279 value!), gift cards for Roggenart Bakery and for Dunkin Donuts/Baskin Robbins, and a dozen opportunities for kids’ art and science kits!  FRES students attend: “Make Your Summer!” - a rotation of three activities, "Make Art; Make Inventions; and Make Stories," inspiring them to create and invent this summer. While the kids are happily busy, parents and caregivers will participate in the new “Ready, Tech, Go!” presentation & interactive discussion to gain helpful tools & resources for determining phone readiness and for managing your child’s phone safety and usage.

PTA Meeting – June 13th Dive Bar
Join us for the last PTA meeting of the school year at Dive Bar in Savage at 7pm.  Childcare will not be available for this meeting.
