Dear FRES Community,

We are so excited for our students to come back on Monday!  It was great seeing so many of our families during our Open Houses today.  Just a few reminders as we move into the start of school:

Breakfast:  Students that would like Grab and Go breakfast should come to the cafeteria when they arrive.

Masks:  Masks are required on all school busses and in the building. Masks should be multi-ply.

Covid-19 Self Screenings

All parents/guardians are to perform a COVID-19 health check every day before your student leaves home. Students are not to come to school if they are experiencing any symptom(s) associated with COVID-19 or other communicable disease.

Students in Prekindergarten, K and 1st.  At the start of the school year, students in prekindergarten, kindergarten and first grade will have access to Chromebooks at school when needed for instruction. These devices will not be assigned to individual students.  Students at these grade levels who currently have Chromebooks assigned to them will be asked to return them to school.  Students in PreK, K, and 1st grade should return any Chromebooks they used last school year.  Please bring the Chromebook and laptop to school at the Open House or on the first day of school.

Outdoor seating at lunch –  Click here to read the previous email communication.

Transportation Reminders:

  • To access the Bus Locator, click here.

  • We have received updated Transportation information regarding our new Walking zone.   The following streets will now be included in the non-transportation zone.

    • Steeple Court – now includes all addresses

    • Brewington Lane – now includes all addresses

    • Howland Road – now includes all addresses

  • Please help us by completing the following quick Transportation Form so we know how your child will be going to and from school.  This will help us to ensure that our children are correctly sent home next week.

Water Bottle: Students may bring a non-glass water bottle to refill throughout the day.

Have a great weekend!

Mr. Conroy and Ms. Pazornik

Family File
It is time to update your student’s 2021-2022 emergency information using the Family File.   Reminder - this needs to be done each year.  Currently we have only 31% of our students completed.  We need to be at 100% before school starts.  The following video walks you through the process of completing the Family File.  Please begin the process now, so that the information is updated before school begins. If your family file is completed you will be able to view your child’s teacher on August 25th.  Help us achieve a 100% completion rate before the first day of school!

You can access the Family File by logging in to the HCPSS Connect at www.hcpss.org/connect/. Once you have logged into the HCPSS Connect, select the Family File tab on the left-hand side, and then select the blue underlined "Family File" towards the center of your screen. Once logged in, parents/guardians will be asked to provide, update, or confirm the following information:

  • Student Information
  • Parent/guardian Contact Information
  • Emergency Contacts
  • Medical Information
  • Media Release (photo approval)
  • Data Confidentiality
  • PTA/PTSA Directory

Please note, if the section you are looking at is not allowing you to move forward, then there is a question/checkbox on that page that may still need to be addressed. Please make sure to read the prompts at the top of each tab, and click to expand each section. To access our quick help guides, CLICK HERE.

Parents who have forgotten their login credentials may click the “Forgot Password” link on the sign-in page.  Your user name is your email address.
