School Spirit Days for 23/24
We are excited to share our school spirit days calendar for the 23/24 school year! We hope this helps families plan ahead. There may be spirit days that pop up here and there based on activities that are going on in the building, but this calendar is what we will be following. You may want to print it out, put the dates on your personal calendar, hang it on the fridge - whatever works for you to remember these fun days!

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who came out on Tuesday night, for making our school's paint night a resounding success. Your enthusiastic participation and creative energy transformed the event into a vibrant celebration of art and community spirit. Thank you to Ms. Allen and Ms. Owens for contributing their time and talent making this night an unforgettable experience for everyone involved. We also thank all the staff and parents who volunteered to help change water, check in participants, set-up/clean-up, and more.
Congratulations to all our exceptional students who were recognized at the Council of Elders on Monday night for their outstanding academic achievements! Your hard work, dedication, and commitment to excellence have truly paid off. We are immensely proud of each of you and your well-deserved accomplishments. Keep shining bright!

Nothing Bundt Cakes School Fundraiser
We need YOU to help us raise money for our staff and students! There are just 2 days left to sell these yummy bundtlet cakes and all orders are due by Monday, December 11th!
Mrs. Lannon and Ms. Pazornik are super excited to see who the top 2 students are in sales so they can be the Principal and AP for the day! This fun-filled day will include a lunch of the student's choice, a lanyard and name badge with photo, doing "official" observations of various teachers and giving them positive feedback, giving out Eagle Bucks to students, helping out with various Principal and AP duties, and more!

Use THIS SALES FORM to sell to co-workers, friends and family.
Have them give you cash or write you a check for their purchases. (Make sure to check your math!)
All orders are due to the front office no later than December 11th.
When you turn in your order, it should include the order form and a check or money order made payable to Forest Ridge ES for the grand total that you collected from your sales.
Dental Clinic Information (English and Spanish)
FRES will be hosting the Smiles Dental program at our school on Thursday January 4th, 2024 and Friday January 5th, 2024. Permission slips will be coming home with students soon. We are asking that parents review the form and if interested, complete the permission slip in its entirety and return to school or sign up online at https://www.myschooldentist.com/FRHCMD_schsrm . Forms or online registration is due no later than Monday, December 11th, 2023.

Registration for BSAP Saturday Math Academy
The HCPSS Black Student Achievement Program Saturday Math Academy Spring Session is approaching!
This year, the BSAP Saturday Math Academy will offer an in-person enrichment program for Howard County Public School System students in all levels of math for grades 3-12 based on course availability. Registration will take place online Saturday, January 6, 2024 from 9:00 a.m.- until capacity is reached. Class space is limited. Families can register by accessing the HCPSS Connect Website

Papa John's Cards - Fundraiser
Papa John's cards are back to help support the 4th grade field trip. Valid at 150 locations around the DC, MD, VA area. Each card is $15. This allows UNLIMITED use of a buy 1 get 1 free on regular menu pizzas. Cards can be purchased via contacting Pratima Lele at pratimalele@gmail.com.
