From Our Administrators...

Dear FRES community,

We have successfully finished our first week of school!  Students are doing an outstanding job finding their classroom and participating in classes.  They experienced an emergency early dismissal and practiced an evacuation drill.   The bus transportation is getting better each day.  Thanks to all the parents/guardians the carloop is getting faster everyday as well.  Thank you for your patience and commitment to our students’ safety.  We hope everyone has a fantastic 4-day weekend.  We look forward to seeing everyone back at school on Wednesday, September 8th.

Thanks,

Mr. Conroy and Ms. Pazornik

Picture Day Info - See Below

Family File - As we lived through our first Early Closing due to weather it was extremely difficult to make contact with so many families that have not completed their Family File.  It is a priority that every family complete their Family File this weekend.  Thank you for helping to make things run more smoothly.  See more below.

Student Belongings - We have already had several items that are lost.  Please label all backpacks, lunch boxes, jackets, etc. so that we can get them back to the correct student.

Covid-19 Self Screenings:  All parents/guardians are to perform a COVID-19 health check every day before your student leaves home. Students are not to come to school if they are experiencing any symptom(s) associated with COVID-19 or other communicable disease.

Picture Day September 9
Individual pictures will be taken on Thursday, September 9.  All students will be photographed, whether parents place an order or not. They will have a blue background because they will be used in the yearbook.

See below for a preorder flyer and a sample order form with packages and prices.  There are two ways to order:

1.  Go to www.schoolpix.com, click on "Preorder Portraits Online Here," then type in the pre-order code FRESF21. See the flyer here.
or
2.  Use the order form & payment envelope that will come home on either Friday 9/3 or Wednesday, 9/8 to place your order.  Your child should bring the envelope to school on September 9 and hand it to the photographer.  Don't worry, if your child doesn't bring the envelope on 9/9, you'll be able to turn it in by Monday, September 13.  See the sample order form here.

If your child is absent on 9/9 we will have a make-up day for students who were absent, new, or whose parents want a re-take.  Information on retake day will be forthcoming.

Family File
This past Wednesday's unscheduled early closing was a reminder that we need updated information for all students.  It needs to be done each year.  Thank you to everyone who has updated their student’s 2021-2022 emergency information using the Family File.  Currently we have 70% of our students completed.  The following video walks you through the process of completing the Family File.

You can access the Family File by logging in to the HCPSS Connect at www.hcpss.org/connect/. Once you have logged into the HCPSS Connect, select the Family File tab on the left-hand side, and then select the blue underlined "Family File" towards the center of your screen.
