From the PTA President

Hello FRES families!

At the beginning of the school year, the PTA budgeted $3000 to reduce the cost of field trips for our families by $4 per student.  Last Friday’s Skate Night was another great success with 123 FRES skaters!!  We raised $415, which covers the PTA’s contribution to the upcoming 2nd Grade field trip to Toby’s Dinner Theatre in November!  We’re really off to a great start!

Thank you to all the families who participated in the Joe Corbi’s fundraiser.  We exceeded our goal and raised over $3500!!  Orders will be ready for pickup during the week of November 4.

Our fall spiritwear sale has begun and, for your convenience, we have online ordering!  Check out the fun Eddie the Eagle designs to show off your school spirit!  Paper order forms are also available and were sent home next week.  All orders due Thursday, October 31st and order delivery is expected by end of November.

Tonight is the PTA’s first free Movie Night!  We will show Coco and there is no cost to watch the movie!  Doors open at 6:45 p.m. and the event runs from 7 to 9 p.m. in the cafeteria.  Concessions will be sold (hot dogs, nachos, popcorn, candy, water, soda, Gatorade) for $1 each.

Tomorrow night is the much anticipated Halloween Dance Party!  Hopefully, you had a chance to purchase tickets for your FRES student.  Unfortunately, tickets cannot be purchased at the door.  See you there!

Khaleda Hasan, FRES PTA President
