From the Office

  • Winter weather is here!  Please make sure that your child is properly dressed for cold weather.  The children go outside when the temperature including wind chill is 20 degrees or above.  If your child has a medical condition that prevents him or her from going outside, we must have a doctor's note on file.  Otherwise they will be going out with their classmates.
  • Also, we've had many students coming in tardy, many by only 2-5 minutes.  With the cold weather we have had many more parents dropping off students in the morning.  Please make every effort to leave your house earlier in the morning so that your children can be in their seats ready to learn by 9:15 a.m.  Thank you!

From the PE Department
The cold, messy weather has arrived!  If it is a day for boots, please remember to have children place sneakers in their backpacks on days when they have physical education.  Tennis shoes are required for all students to be able to fully participate in physical education classes safely.

From Mrs. Clawson
The FRES Science Fair is scheduled for February 15, 2018 from 6:30-8:00 pm.  If your child is not scheduled in the Science Fair seminar (grades 2,3,4), and you would like to have him/her participate in the Science Fair, please send an email to Kim Clawson at kimberly_clawson@hcpss.org to request a Science Fair packet.
