Forest Ridge News and Events
Kindergarten and New First Grader Registration for 2017-18
Monday through Friday, February 27 – March 3, 2017 is the designated countywide kickoff registration period for new kindergarten and new-to-FRES first graders. Registration assistance will be available between 10am - 3pm, at Forest Ridge, no appointments necessary. Registrations after this designated week will require an appointment.

Conferences will be held on March 9 and 10, 2017.
Scheduling will open to parents on Monday, February 27 and will close on Tuesday, March 7.

Hoops for Heart
Information regarding the P.E. team’s Hoops for Heart event has been sent home in folders. Help us reach our goal of raising $7,000 for the American Heart Association! We would prefer students asking for donations ONLINE – It’s easier for us and the families helping. Students who have raised at least $5 in cash or check donations but would like to continue raising more can bring in the parent-signed coupon from the envelope that awards them their first prize (lanyard and lion keychain). Students have until the first day of the event on March 13th to raise as much as they can! The event takes place during PE in school, so everyone is participating, but asking for donations is optional. We have more and more crocuses in our front yard every day! Spring is sprung—but for how long? Spring is a time for PTA and the school community to ramp up again with all the activities from now until the end of the year.
