WHAT:             FRES Walk to School Day

 

WHEN:            Wednesday, April 20, 8:40 am

                      This is a RAIN OR SHINE event!!

 

WHERE:           Savage Library for walkers

                       Playground for before care students and bus riders

 

WHY:               To celebrate Earth Day and show our commitment to a cleaner planet and 

                       to focus on being active.

 

Any student who wishes to walk from Savage Library must be signed in by an adult at the library parking lot between 8:40 and 8:50 am on April 20th.   Students may walk from any neighborhood, not just the Savage Library.

 

Walking will begin at 8:50 am. Parents and families are encouraged to walk with us.  

 

Bus riders may participate by walking around the blacktop (NOT bus loop)  before entering the building.

 

Before Care students make take their lap(s) around the blacktop as the buses arrive. 

 

REMEMBER this activity will take place RAIN or SHINE, so check the forecast and BE PREPARED!! ONLY in the event of thunder/lightening will the event be cancelled.

 

Students must arrive at FRES by 9:10 in order to be recognized for their effort.
