From the Band and Strings Teachers

Winter Band and Strings Concert Information for Fifth Grade Band and Fourth and Fifth Grade Strings Students (second and third year students, only).  Beginners will not be performing in this concert.

The Winter Band and Strings Concert will be presented on Thursday, January 15th, 2015, at 7:00 PM in the cafeteria.  Strings students should arrive at school at 6:30 PM, and band students should arrive at 6:45 PM, to allow time to warm-up and organize before the concert. (Snow date: Thursday, January 29th.) Parents, other family members, and friends are invited to enjoy the concert.

Concert dress is:

Girls: white top, black dressy pants or black skirt (at least below the knee) and black dressy shoes (preferably no heels).

Boys: white dress shirt, black dress pants, and black dress shoes with black socks.

There will be a performance of the concert during the school day (2:35 PM until 3:30 PM) for students and teachers.

Important: Performing students should wear concert dress clothing to school on Thursday, January 15th.  If Thursday is a day your child has P.E. class, please ask your child to wear proper footwear for P.E. and bring the dressy black concert shoes in a separate bag to change into for the school concert. 

If there is an unavoidable conflict and your child cannot attend the concert, please contact Mrs. Curry as soon as possible.  It is important that every member of the band and orchestras attend the day and evening concerts. Please feel free to contact Mrs. Curry with any questions or concerns.  Mary_Curry@hcpss.org
