Student News...

G/T News

Our G/T math students were among the nearly 160,000 worldwide to participate in the Math Olympiads program. They participated in a series of five monthly contests of 5 problems each, from November to March. They prepared for the contests by completing weekly practice problems. The problems are complex and require students to think creatively.

Our school received the Meritorious Award for scoring in the top 20% of each grade level. Our 5th grade team also received the High Achievement Award for scoring in the top 20% overall, among all 4th through 7th graders.

Special recognition was given to students who scored in the top 50% or higher of all participants. Those students from Forest Ridge were: Shivam P., Jordan W., Madison H., Alisha H., Ian H. Darshan B., Trevor M., Elizabeth R., Madelyn L., Madhav P., Aarna M., Smrithi K., Yuvan K., Lucy R., Lucas T., Taj G., Angel J., Rayna H., Fred A., Maria M., Victoria M., Jackson G., Frankie P., Daniel A., Yasir Z., Dylan W., Adaeza U., Jacob R., Jessica L., Jonathan B., Chloe N., John L., Katie L., Nathan R., Grant P., Megan C., Ava K., and Logan W..

In addition, silver pins were awarded to our top 10 % students. These students include Lucas T., John L., Katie L., Nathan R., Grant P., Megan C. Ava K., and Logan W.

Lucas and Logan also received trophies for having the highest scores in their grade level.

Congratulations to all of our hard-working students.
