G’Readings FRES Families,

March is National Reading Month! FRES will be celebrating all month with a “March Reading Madness” theme. We kicked off Reading Month on Thursday, March 1st  with a “Read Across the Building”- staff and students all engaged in a reading experience at the same time. The rest of the month will be filled with: weekly reading challenges, opportunities to read to/with students across grade levels, and listening to (local) Celebrity Readers. The PTA is also sponsoring a very special student presentation from local, acclaimed author, Jerdine Nolan!

Our March Reading Madness Month will culminate with a family fun reading night on Wednesday, March 28th, from 6:30-8:00. We are inviting FRES family members of all ages to come out for a night of fun activities with our FRES teachers and Savage Library. There will be snacks and LOADS of opportunities to win fun prizes at activities like “Giant Boggle,” “Sight Word Slingshots,” Comprehension Make and Takes, AND MUCH MORE! In addition to prizes, every family in attendance will go home with a NEW BOOK!!

ALL FRES families are invited to attend. In order to help us be properly prepared, please follow the link to RSVP your family. We look forward to seeing you!!!
